Tom Hammick is a British painter and print maker. Hammick was the winner of the V&A Prize at the International Print Biennale in 2016 and his work  is held in public institutions around the world such as the British Museum, the V&A ,The Biblioteque National, Paris, The Library of Congress Print Collection, USA, Minesotta Art Gallery Collection and the New York Library Collection amongst many others.

Hammick practices both painting and printmaking to produce his series of recurring elements, exploring themes such as space and the isolated figure. The artist himself describes his work as an exploration of the “imaginary and mythological dreamscape” which becomes evident when one encounter’s his work. Taking inspiration from Japanese woodcuts to French Romanticism we see Hammick manipulate his chosen theme into a minimalist dreamscape, creating an uneasy suburban and intergalactic nightmare in paint.
