Nic Fiddian Green
Of Nic Fiddian Green’s Still Water – “A profoundly moving monumental sculpture permanently sited in one of London’s most prestigious public spaces.”
Nic Fiddian Green is an English born sculptor who has dedicated his artistic life to the depiction the horse. Inspired by his encounter with the famed Elgin Marbles that are housed in the British Museum, which he first visited while at Chelsea College of Arts. His work is imbued with poignancy and noble pathos, distinct from all animalier sculptors working today. A truly unique vision of the powerful bond between man and horse.
Fiddian Green works from a studio within a stable block at his home in Wintershall, and uses his six horses as life models. Casting primarily in bronze, Nic patinates the work himself. He has exhibited internationally and most famously his monumental public work “Still Water” is permanently situated at Marble Arch in London.
